The Camp McGovern branding and website project is important to us. As long time supporters of camp (Mark serves on the Board of Directors), we want to ensure that the organization has a consistent and recognizable brand along with a website that is easy for their clients to use. With a broad reach, the camp branding and website need to resonate and connect with campers and their families, community agencies, new volunteers, event attendees, and donors.
To achieve these goals, we completed the following work:
As part of this refresh, we maintained the existing logo but incorporated lighter and brighter colours. We used friendly and approachable fonts and focused on using images that resonate with the feeling of camp to connect with our audience.
We redesigned the website with a cleaner user interface, easy to navigate menus, and visual cues to help users find the information they are seeking as quickly as possible. We used a responsive (mobile-friendly) design to ensure ease of use for all site visitors.
We included clear CTAs throughout the site to help visitors navigate and take action regardless of whether they are registering for camp, signing up for the newsletter, or making a donation.
With the new website launched, the work is not complete. We designed the site with future growth and updates in mind. New images will be added, our annual events will be updated, and edits can be made to the content as our summer schedules and camper information change.
Camp McGovern exists so that children served by Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Family & Children Services, United Way agencies and other Community Agencies have the opportunity to attend a summer camp.
Children and youth who endure the uncertainty of an unstable home life find a unique and supportive summer camping program at Camp McGovern.
