High-end homes deserve a high-end website, and Ecnomus wasn’t getting one. Their previous agency had covered the site in cheesy, salesy messaging, the kind of copy that might work for a discount renovator but actively devalued a premium custom builder. When someone is considering a seven-figure build, gimmicky headlines don’t create urgency. They create doubt. The old site was talking down to exactly the clientele Ecnomus needed to impress.
The irony was that the proof was already sitting there. Ecnomus builds genuinely beautiful homes, and their portfolio, Beverly, Summerhill, Wilson, and more, is the kind of work that sells itself when people actually see it. The photography just needed a site that treated it like the asset it is instead of burying it under loud messaging and cramped layouts.
There was a practical requirement too. Ecnomus builds homes, not websites. They didn’t want to manage content, chase updates, or think about hosting and maintenance. Whatever we built had to stay current and polished without ever demanding their attention.
What We Built
Our website design went the opposite direction from the old site in every way. Instead of loud, we went quiet. Instead of salesy, confident. The new site takes a magazine-style approach: large, full-bleed imagery, generous white space, and a clean, editorial layout that lets each project breathe on the page.
The messaging got the same treatment as the design. We cut the gimmicks and wrote copy that speaks the way Ecnomus actually speaks to clients: straightforward, knowledgeable, and understated. Premium brands don’t shout, and the restraint itself sends a message. The result feels as considered as the homes themselves, which is exactly the impression a prospective client should have before they ever pick up the phone.
Built on WordPress and fully managed by us, the site runs without any input from their team. Hosting, updates, maintenance, and content refreshes all happen in the background while they focus on building. When they land a new project worth showing off, we add it. That’s the whole process from their side.
The Result
The site now matches the calibre of the work, and prospective clients arrive at their first conversation already holding the right impression of the company. No recovery from a bad first click, no explaining away a dated site.
This is also the third version of the Ecnomus site we’ve built. Over years of working together, we’ve evolved the design and structure with each iteration as the business has grown. When a client keeps coming back for the next build, and hands you the keys in between, that’s the result that matters most.
